A nursery is the most emotionally loaded room in a house and, at the same time, the one with the strictest engineering requirements. Anchor ratings, harness geometry, drawer weight limits, stability standards. Most of the gear content online picks one half of that and ignores the other. Nest Cub was built to hold both at once.
What we publish
Our work is organised as four stages of a single journey, because that is the order in which decisions actually get made:
- Decide — Buying Guides & Comparisons. Specifications, dimensions and weight limits set side by side so you can rule options out quickly.
- Buy — Reviews. One product at a time: the full published spec sheet, the strengths, the trade-offs, and the figures the manufacturer does not publish.
- Install — Setup, Installation & DIY. Assembly order, anchor hardware, wall studs, car seat fitting.
- Maintain — Safety, Care & Cleaning. Tip-over checks, fabric and finish care, and keeping track of recalls.
How we research
Every table, comparison and recommendation on this site is compiled from three sources, in this order of weight:
- Published manufacturer documentation. Spec sheets, owner’s manuals, assembly instructions, product labels and support pages. Dimensions, weight capacities, fit ranges and certifications come from here.
- Published safety standards and regulatory records. The mandatory standard that governs each product category, plus publicly available recall and safety notices.
- Verified owner reviews. Aggregated feedback from buyers who have confirmed purchases, read for recurring patterns rather than individual opinions.
What we do not do
We do not test products in a laboratory, in a home, or in a vehicle. Nothing on this site is a measured result. We do not claim to have assembled, installed, driven with, run behind or lived with the products we write about. Where a figure appears on Nest Cub, it was published by the manufacturer or a regulator first, and we say where it came from. Where a manufacturer publishes no figure, our guides record that gap instead of estimating one.
The standards we read against
Nursery products sold in the United States are not unregulated. Knowing which rule applies to a category answers a surprising number of the questions parents actually have.

Corrections
Specifications change without notice, models get revised mid-production, and manufacturers occasionally update published figures. If you find a number on this site that does not match the current documentation, tell us and we will check it against the source and correct the page.
